WEMIHS’s current efforts are fueled by a strong commitment to addressing child protection and gender-based violence, which are most prevalent in densely populated, low-income urban areas. Recognizing the lack of adequate social safety nets for children, WEMIHS drives its “Watoto Wetu” (Our Children) program to prioritize child wellbeing. By advocating for child protection as a key county agenda and collaborating with key stakeholders, WEMIHS has made significant strides in strengthening systems to ensure children’s access to justice.
